LISBON GUIDE - FAVORITE PLACES TO STAY, EAT & DRINK

Lisbon’s such a beautiful city to visit and we also know it’s a jungle when you start looking for a place to stay and when it’s time to go out for a meal or drink! We’ve tried a lot of places out - here are our favourites!

PLACES TO STAY

The Lumiares - Super nice small hotel in Bairro Alto. Their Lumi rooftop restaurant’s definitely worth a visit (even if you don’t stay at the hotel). Amazing view over the city!

Independente Hostel & Suites Lisbon - Boutique hostel located in Bairro Alto, close to Principe Real and many great restaurants.

The Lisboans - Boutique apartment hotel located in Baixa, city center. They’ve got a great in-house restaurant called Prado, well-worth a visit!

Monte Belvedere Hotel by Shiadu - Hotel near Time Out market and Cais do Sodré train station. Near to the cosy area Santos, where you’ll find a lot of great food places!

Augusta Street Airbnb apartment - located right in the city center near Praca Comercio and shopping.

Bairro House Lisbon Charming Suites - Apartment right in Bairro Alto. Although it’s located on one of the main bar street it’s noise-friendly!

My Suite Lisbon Guest House – Principe Real - Light, spacious apartments in Bairro Alto. Located on a quiet street.

PLACES TO EAT

Arkhe - Run by our talented friend Joao from Brasil, this restaurant serves the most beautiful and delicious vegetarian food. Each plate is like a piece of art and you can tell how much love has been put into the idea and the creation of the dish. Excellent selection of wines!

Lumi - Rooftop restaurant at The Lumiares Hotel in Bairro Alto. Try their generous weekend brunch, grab a glass of wine or have lunch as you enjoy the beautiful view over the city.

Zero Zero - Super good Italian restaurant in Bairro Alto. Nice outdoor sitting area in the back.

Taberna Rua das Flores - Portuguese fusion-food restaurant. Worth the wait (you can’t reserve table but put up your name on the list!). Great selection of wines.

Prado Restaurant & Mercearia - One being a restaurant and the other a cosy, small bistro - both located in Baixa. Really nice food, great wine and beautiful interior design.

Fauna & Flora - Beautiful brunch place with a huge menu! Located in Santos area.

Dede´s - Epic, small brunch place in Santos area. LOVE the Banana Bread and the bowls!

Cevicheria - Bar-like restaurant with very creative and tasty variations of Ceviche. Also in Bairro Alto.

Mila’s Market - Cute little deli and cafe in Santos. Great coffee, cakes and good healthy take-away food if you’re on the go.

El Coyo - Located in Bairro Alto, this Mexican restaurantt is simple yet spot-on! Great Micheladas, Margaritas and real Mexican food!

Caffe di Marzano - Italian bar with really good drinks. and food. It’s the perfect after-shopping-drink-place as it’s located right in Chiado near the main shopping area. Make sure to try the Wild Mushroom Bruschetta and Vegan Pannacotta!

Focaccia in Giro - Great place for lunch near Alfama market.

Cafe Janis  - Brunch place close to Time Out Market.

Heim - Epic brunch in Santos area!

Mez Cais (LX FACTORY) - Another really good Mexican restaurant in the hip LX Factory area.

By The Wine - Cool Bar/restaurant in Chiado. Great if you need a place to get a drink while you wait for a table at Taberna Rua Das Flores!
